Welcome, Chad!

April 5, 2012

I just scored a new viewer four hours ago from a new nation, making 197 countries (per Flag Counter) that have viewed this site. That's about all of them, except North Korea, Kosovo, and a few poorer African nations, and probably a few little island nations and dependencies it lists (sorry, but Guernsey is hardly much of a nation). After all the alleged mercenaries Chad has lost from its migrant population in Libya, they should be quite interested in the material here. I was starting to wonder did they even have internet at all? They have limited electricity I hear, and until recently 19 miles of paved roads nationwide. Gaddafi's Libya had been helping turn that around, but the NTC and its racist militias ... probably not. They seem to hate Africa, and seek to make the Sahara into some kind of Berlin Wall separating "Africa" from the Arab Maghreb.

Anyway, there's at least one internet connected computer, and perhaps their president has viewed the site. If the viewer is connected in Chad and sees this, may I refer him to this post on a captive from Sirte that the NTC should have information on. His passport has been shown on video and his name seems to be Abdullah Doukmour Adin. We fear he was killed.

Their flag, by the way, is remarkably similar to that of my last new country, Andorra.
